As I made clear earlier, I was going to spend a week en route to and subsequently at the thing known as GenCon. Instead, an event politely referred to as "a family emergency" caused me to get no farther than Chicago and also to spend almost a week longer than anticipated away from home. As a result, a one-week trip in which I planned to get only a little done turned into a two-week trip in which I managed to get absolutely nothing done.

This would be a wonderful excuse for my first-ever batch of completely missed updates if I hadn't already been planning to blow off a few updates anyway.

Also, this gives me more reason to work on my Emergency Markcast System that would provide updates on this site in the event of crashes or floods or bears or something. As it was, I was basically unable to make any meaningful changes to the site other than popping into the forums every now and then. And Lord knows I understand why you people wouldn't want to do that.

In addition, my email account for this comic is so spam-ridden that it was useless for me to even attempt checking it without my spam filters, so I have been unable to even look at it until recently. And then I saw all that spam and had to take a nap. If you sent me something recently, rest assured I will see it soon. I also may accidently obliterate it, but don't take that personally.

Anyhoo, here's the tentative plan. Expect normal updates to resume... next Monday. Sorry, but I'm just too behind to start cranking them out this week.
