So What's The Deal? Monday, June 14, 2004 Some of you may be wondering what was up with Friday's comic that... well... wasn't. It comes down to this: my available free time has plummeted recently, making the deadlines for production of comics fairly tight. I was already running behind when everyone decided to come into town at once, leaving me to choose between drawing myself having fun with my friends or actually having fun with my friends. And so I decided to toss up a cop-out comic. This turned out to be a good decision when my mouse learned how to play dead halfway though the process. I was very proud of the fact that I had never missed an update with the exception of server crashes, and even most of those had non-comic updates. However, I decided that my pride could take a back seat to my sanity and a desire to keep the already cyclical quality of the strips from deteriorating too far. With that in mind, I reserve the right to flake out like that about once a week... for a while. But hey, remember waaaaay back on #143 when I said you owed me? I guess that means I'm not actually behind at all. | ||
