The reasons behind this are many and mysterious. Lately, I have found myself forced to either cram too much into a single strip or split a slightly amusing gag into two or more somewhat lame individual strips. The solution to both of these problems is to simply make larger strips, but those quickly eat at my time and patience. The solution to that problem is to make fewer larger strips.

I do not know if this will be a permanent change. The truth is that I like the five-a-week schedule, if only because it keeps the strip numbers nice and uniform. It does make those damn multiple-of-100 strips show up damn often, though. Three-hundred strips already? Schesh.
