Since I didn't bother to make it obvious, I'll add it here: Pzamdriel's efforts are stopping them from being pulled backwards by Hew's motion...Which means she'd be able to pull them forward just as easily if Hew wasn't swinging. But then Hew wouldn't be having as much fun, and isn't that what's important?
